@arc13

You're still using the old shop-cache repo. I had one setup a few month ago, so I just rebased it to the latest version:

https://github.com/Cartman123/shop-cache

I can give you access to it so you can tag the releases and have it build automatically (you can also just fork your own).

I was thinking of forking freeShop since the Pokemon Sun/Moon pre-release, but I'm really short on time with work and all. When I saw all hell break lose I thought it would be my time to maintain it, but it seems you beat me to it :)
The original FreeShop cache repo is updated by somebody who is not TheCruel, and there's no reason to change what FreeShop depends on.

@arc13 thanks for your work on this. I'd like to suggest a name change for the app so it is no longer associated in any way with thecruel. Aside from that, I dont mind how you changed the location of the sd/ctr info, but I like how it used to show space remaining instead of space used. It's just easier at a glance for me. Idk about others. Is it possible to change it?
Can you guys drop this shit already? The name wont change and will stay as it is.

I will let "themers" do that for 3.1, but yeah, I think dark theme would be cool too.
Well, I haven't exactly got to know themes, so I'll wait and see the possibility's. If I can't make a DarkTheme with the current theme settings, then I'll make it a setting...

Just installed your fork on top of existing freeshop installation, everything seems to work fine. Will it also Auto update, like the original freeshop?

Read through the thread. There's no reason why it wouldn't auto-update, but we won't know if it will work until an update of this fork is actually released.

could we get an option in the setting to turn off the clock/sd data in a future update?
Read through the thread. The storage info and clock are going to be moved to a separate tab on the bottom screen in a coming update.

What's wrong with the "old cache"?

Literelly as of now, nothing. Some people are now having some sort of self diagnosed PTSD to anything related to "The one who shall not be named" and want to change the name of the app and cache, even thought the cache is being worked on by some guy that seems nice and has no plans to make a massive mistake.

Thought i might be stretching it on Cartman123 and might be doing it at of the kindness of its heart...That left a bad taste in my mouth for some reason.

No kindness of heart or PTSD. Please don't try to psychoanalyze me. My repo was forked 6 months ago. The only reason I thought it would be necessary is because there is only one person listed on the "Repo3DS" organization, and that person can't contribute anymore. Also, every single release tag and commit on that specific repo has been done by that person (according to github).

Also I'm only calling him "person" because I don't know how strict the mods of gbatemp are being. I couldn't care less about him or his fate, I'm just trying to contribute as I can.

I had no idea someone else was mantaining it, jeez, just chill out.

There's no chill on my domain. We do have Netflix tho.

Wouldn't it be better if the free space info was in a separate tab, kinda like the "downloads", "installed apps" etc.? That way we could see more games at once on the top screen like before, and people that need to see the free space can still do so in the "free space" tab. That, or maybe put an option in the settings that lets you turn the free space indicator on or off (with on set as default), that may be better. Of course, you don't have to do this, but I just think it would look neater that way. Either way, thanks for working on freeShop!

(edit: and even the poll, oh god, pay some attention in the subjects that you care for, please)
Yes, it's decided that these informations will go on a sperate tab, look at the poll and the OP.

I mean, the fact your repo went for 5 months without an update just goes to show that if OP changes the cache, he has to be careful who he goes with as the new maintainer, because the last thing he wants is a 5 month old cache ;)

In regards to the "official" cache repo, while only TheCruel's account has access to it (The hell is up with nobody saying his name? Grow up, people), anyone with a private key tied to that account can still push. My guess is the new maintainer got his private key added to Cruel's account, or has one of Cruel's private keys on the server that's doing the cache rebuilds, as it's been updated multiple times since Cruel left.
