@arc13 you could add the following to the OP:

Q: OMG, I know what happened to him, I will say it on this thread!!!!
A: This thread is for talking about my fork of freeShop, and the Original freeShop, not about what TheCruel did, that's how the original thread went into a complete disaster. If you want to know what happened and discuss about it, do it here:

That might help clean everything up and maintain this thread clean of that mess.

Didn't know that there was a thread about that, will add to the OP.
Just got added to the "News" section by an admin today, so it's the "official" thread about the topic.
At least that should help stop all the "What happened to He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named?" in here.

Ok, thanks for the report, there's definitely something wrong with the German translation file.
The really weird thing here is, not everyone has this problem. I, for example, never encountered this - neither with cruel's freeShop, nor with yours. (and yes, my 3DS's language setting is German :P )

With this new version will there be a way to download game updates and dlc separate without having to download the whole game like ciangel?

Not for the moment, but why do you want to download updates and dlc if you don't have the game ?

In case a person already has the game and a new update or new dlc comes out for said game. That and cartridge games.

Nice to see a freeshop getting forked :)
There's always room for improvement ;)

Keep up the good work!

So do we need to switch old freeshop with this newer version? or does it auto update like before ? (yes i was to lazy to read all pages, so if it has been anwsered already, i'm sorry! )

It's a fork, so you have to download the freeShop a second time but after that the freeShop will auto update with the versions I will upload (I presume, didn't tested xD)

Some thoughts regarding that discussion from previous page about downloading only certain DLC…
If I understand that right, it would be hard to get actual names for separate pieces of DLC, because of where those names are supposed to be retrieved from?
As far as I know, an application and its DLC shop read those names from ContentInfoArchive file, which doesn't actually specify content indexes, but just lists names for all avilable DLC in the same order as their indexes go in TMD.
And unfortunately, said file is inside of the first NCCH partition of a DLC tiltle, that partition is usually called "content metadata" or "control content" (at least 3dbrew uses both of these terms, I prefer the second one), and it always has content index 0.
Icons for DLC are also stored in this partition and are stated in ContentInfoArchive as well (entries for icons may be mistaken for content indexes, but they don't always match).
This appears to be the exact reason for why (almost) every DLC shop allows to get DLC ticket for free - so it could install this first content to access names and icons of all downloadable content that is available.
So the main problem here is that there's probably no way to access that list without actually installing the "control content" first, and if it even can be accessed by anything but the app that DLC was made for, right?

I'm sorry for a messy and broken language, I just can't make my words for life (even in my native language).

Wouldn't it be better if the free space info was in a separate tab, kinda like the "downloads", "installed apps" etc.? That way we could see more games at once on the top screen like before, and people that need to see the free space can still do so in the "free space" tab. That, or maybe put an option in the settings that lets you turn the free space indicator on or off (with on set as default), that may be better. Of course, you don't have to do this, but I just think it would look neater that way. Either way, thanks for working on freeShop!

Yes, if I need to download all dlc to just get their informations, it's not very good xD
