Hello, I've been trying to run the SD Padgen option in this multitool, but it has been failing me.

I run normally the .py file and I think everything is alright, don't know if there are special meassures to take for the /Nintendo 3DS/xxxx/xxxx/ folders

When it starts to generate the first xorpad, it just puts an error.

Could anyone here tell me anything related to this error? What could posibly be wrong with this?

I attached the image of the error, any help would be very appreciated..

EDIT: forget about it, I solved it, the problem was a badly made SDinfo_gen.py

Okay, I'm a useless idiot, so I have no idea what any part of the tutorial is saying beyond the fact that I need Gateway, which I'm pretty sure is impossible for me to use. Can somebody explain, step by exact step, what I need to put where?

Re-read the tutorial. You don't need GW.

"If not using Gateway, place Launcher_NoGW.dat..."

This basically just reads the AES key from the ROM, saves it as a bin, then loads it when the 3DS is running and feeds it to the 3DS's AES engine (which scrambles the keys) in order to generate the decryption XOR data.

It doesn't say anything about this in the tutorial, unless I'm blind, which knowing my stupid ass, I probably am.

it's just easier if you use Gateway's nds installer. Even then you only need the files, not the cart itself.

That's just it. I don't know HOW to use Gateway at all. Don't you need a specific firmware or something? (the 4.whatever, I know that's not the firmware but I forget what it's called)

yeah, you need to be on firmware 9.2 or lower

you could edit the source code and compile the .dat, if you have the tools to compile

I didn't know where I could ask this, so I'm here.
But I use Decrypt9 for generate xorpads (I'm on N3DS 9.0)

you could edit decrypt9 too it shouldn't be too hard if you have the 3ds tools and compilers ready. look at the source

You just need to edit the python script that generates the ncchinfo.bin, then generate a new ncchinfo.bin with the modified script. I think just changing line 196 in the version included with decrypt9

Should do it. Then you can generate a new ncchinfo.bin which won't make any RomFS xorpads.
