Hacking Region lock on 3ds

Hi,

I'm interested into buying Pokemon X which is region locked to USA, but my console is locked on EUR region. I have read that CFW (which do I have) can unlock that region lock (I might be wrong). So if I buy this game, will be able to play it on my console with CFW?

RxTools enables region free for cia but unsure about cartridges. Cartridges can be played out of region using homebrew unless something has changed recently

Is there a particular reason for wanting this game in USA? Upon starting a new save file, all seven languages are offered.

Compatibility list for regionfour says that updates from eshop works, so it should work online. Also will that affect my CFW? I mean, if i got it right, i should install regionfour. It's like homebrew and it has nothing to do with CFW? I don't even need to start CFW for regiounfour?

possibly . . . but not likely nintendo is more interested in stopping people from hacking their consoles
also they have been known to ban people for cheating

but when you install a cfw you violate the consoles user agreement so from then on you "technically" risk a ban no matter what you do after you install cfw

Nintendo won't ban you for Pokemon, because the game itself is regionfree, the only thing that prevents you from using it is the update, which is checked by the 3DS, but if you start the freeMultiPatcher or NTR CFW before in a cfw, this update will be ignored, and you can use it.

regionfour is included in the newest version of the homebrew launcher. For informations visit the offical page: smealum.github.io/3ds

Like I said, because you use a cfw, you could also use the freeMultiPatcher or ntr cfw, which you would only need to use once every time you restart your 3DS. Also these two will allow you to go back to the home menu, without the need to restart.
