Well you can't brick you console with a download code.
The shop is also very unlikely to ban you for this.
Oh and judging by the game selection it is probably a code from the European so many games event.

If those codes are European, then I can guess that the price is due to the "So many games promotion", and if they are European codes then they won't work on an American system... If they trully are US codes and you have an US system then go for it.

Well, you can't really and it's just cheaper to buy physical copies of games from amazon.co.uk or so. If you want to buy cheaper codes you need to find someone who has a code but doesn't want it, but don't bet on that.
