Hacking Recently bought Acekard 2

I recently purchased an Acekard 2 from deal extreme. I want to play pokemon platinum on it. Does anyone have any tips to make it work better?

Do some games require AKAIO to work? Is it possible to use global wifi with an acekard? How about wii connectivity? Is it possible to transfer pokemon from a GBA game to the Acekard file? How is homebrew compatability, specifically dslinux and eigenmath.
