Hacking rebug protected from updates?

so I'm on rebug 4.81 spoofed to 4.82 and was wondering - do I need to take any further action to prevent firmware updates? (I always delete the update folder in my backups). Like - do I need to go into settings somewhere and turn off automatic updates for firmware? Or does rebug automatically not do this?

PS3 doesn't have automatic updates, but if you are really afraid of going through the 5+ clicks to actually update online, go to Settings > Debug > System Update Debug > on, not only it allows for choosing between multiple firmware files while updating, but it disables online updating

yes. btw, aldostools ' game trimmer will delete all game update folders by default.
