Hacking realyl quick question

soz. not been following all these advances lately.. (work...)

The last thing i installed was the homebrew channel, can i use that to install all the banners from the SD card like, for example the wadmanager2.1, or do i need to use Zelda again?

Or do some things work from the homebrew channel, and some don;t?

channels can be installed with the HBC. all apps should work with the HBC.

Once you have a copy of the HBC installed, you should be fine to install anything else you want. The only problem we used to have was running WiiMFE from the HBC, but we found out the problem is caused by the WiiConnect service being run at the same time. You should have no problems using the Wad Manager from the HBC.

so to install the wad installer 2.1 i need to remove everything from the card and put the .wad file and the contents of the rar file in the top (root) of the card, then run hbc, and it should pick it up? is that right?

so I will have:

wadinstallerbanner*wad
wad-installer.elf

this should work? because nothing comes up in my hbc menu?

got a bit further, can start wadinstaller by renaming the file to boot.elf.

still stuck on instlaling it as a channel?

Then, it should go like this:
[ROOT]
-[apps]
-[wad]

[APPS]
-[wad_manAnorhc]

[wad_manAnorhc]
-boot.elf
-icon.png
-meta.xml

[WAD]
-wadmansound.wad

This will run the Wad Manager through the HBC to install the Wad manager as a Channel

*Note that brackets are [FOLDERS] and bold brackets are [CURRENT FOLDER]

ahh cheers for that.

so the install wad installer, installs the same program as a wad.. gotcha.

from then on, just put the wads i want in wad to isntall from teh wadmanager channel..

Yup, you are using the wadmanager.elf (named boot.elf on there) file to install the wadmanager channel, then from there you just add the wad files you want to install/uninstall into the [wad] folder on the root and you are good to go.
