I was wondering if there are any RTS games on the DS.

examples of an RTS game: warcraft 1-3, command and conquer, age of empires, etc

Are there any games that have gameplay like the games listed above?

Robocalypse is my personal favorite. It's not that hard, but it captures the greatness of some of the PC RTSes and proves the classic formula can be done. It's damn hilarious too, thanks to the same writers who made Spongebob working on the story. But it truly has some kickass gameplay. If only they'd put games like Starcraft on DS, this game shows how well they'd work...

Thought it is in Japanese, I highly recommend San Goku Shi Taisen Ten. It's not a traditional RTS (build units, send them to their death), but it is an RTS and has very deep strategy.

i have to say the best strategy games cannot be avaible on handheld console, too limited option.
still better to switch normal console or pc . really, i played 10 years of strategy games from first civ to last and populous 1 to last and all sid meir games

heroes of mana
final fantasy reverant wings
the robo one
lego battles
...

i think thats it for rts on the ds.

then there are you hybrids

small list but they are quite good for what they are.

PC is of course the best platform for RTS' games, but I really like some of the DS RTS games too. It works just well.
Just like Anno on Wii, works very good and that makes it one of the best Wii games there is.

RTS actually have a decent potential of working on DS, thanks to the stylus being able to take place of a mouse(which is generally the only reason RTS fail on consoles/other handhelds). Obviously limited by specs though.
