if you can ask the reseller to show you an image of the migrating feature with it that'd prove it's real. (transfer a pokemon from gen 3 to gen4)

Doubt he'll go to all that effort.
Does the backside of the cart look legit? Don't have a sapphire to compare to.

Backside look alright?

Kinds looks a little bit "off" to me.

Makes sense to be suspicious.

Top tip tho, don't buy from someone who doesn't have a return policy unless you are willing to take "stupidity" tax on lost money on fakes. But to me, that looks real. I don't see anything wrong with the (terrible) photo of the front and the backside is transparent so i can't really tell but i don't see any stupid errors.

Without front PCB it is harder to tell. Sometimes you can tell from the pins on the cart (fake often being all the same, real being bigger on power and ground). Might just be the resolution/blur and angle but I can't see the numbers cut into the label either and I would expect that.

The back PCB has no gold test points/pads that I would also be expecting here.

To that end probably fake.

Notice the bottom of the cart on the backside. Shouldn't the pins be visible on backside also?
They are for me on my ruby and emerald.

fake, the back of the PCB doesn't have the 4 squares at the top left that the real cart has

edit: looking at that first pic on that 2nd batch of pics, it looks like it has a generic repro board with a seperate chip soldered. definitely fake

i'm going to say fake, the nintendo seal of quality is missing the ® in the bottom right corner, it also just says official nintendo seal" instead of seal of quality
i'll upload my legit cart pics in a sec

Last edited by Joe88,
found a pic of what i mean, this cart looks like the exact same thing, seems like it's also missing a battery so you won't get any time based events

Looks like that is the same pcb his has?
Nintendo logo on PCB looks VERY similar to me atleast.

Hey!

Can anybody tell me if this cart is real or fake?
https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/tradera-prod-messaging.appspot.com/o/u4088118_u4870240_l382055180/U7HU0pDQAPMKtVI29RRu?alt=media&token=5cec06a1-4781-4ae3-b895-3e822b0b77b3

Appears to lack the imprint from what I can tell. However "Nintendo" logo looks correct. Sticker doesn't look shiny enough. Heard that carts with left-hand "nintendo" logo often/always lack imprint.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
The seal is fake because it simply says "Official Nintendo Seal" while the real deal says "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality", The Pokemon Company should have a blue outline with white text, also it's the wrong font, the AGB-AXPE-USA should be outlined in black with white text, PCB is fake as others mentioned...
