What you said actually makes a bit more sense. They even teach that at driving lessons. Usually, when you don't know what to do, it's better not to do anything instead of trying to rescue someone who's in danger. That could lead to even more problems to the both of you. The person who was rescued had every right to sue the other guy. I think she eventually actually got her millions from the guy but I am not sure. all these things just make me want to never help anyone at all in fear of being screwed over for my courage.
