Aiming and camera controls with the face buttons is so much fun and not at all irritating. And therefore you don't need to buy the control pad pro in order to play the game properly.

Flawless controls and gameplay.

The controls and gameplay of the console version are gimped but they are just so much better than using face buttons.
My point is that it's MGS fucking 3.

Even if it ran at 15FPS, it would still be stellar.

Oh, nobody's arguing againts the fact that MGS3 is an awesome game - some people just think it could've been better. Much, much better given the fact that it's a complete re-write that ends up having a lower framerate than the original and has barely any extra content.

I personally think that a direct port with exclusive 3DS content would take less time to make and would end up being *better* then the remake that was released, but hey - that's just my opinion. It's still Metal Gear so it's still good.

At least make that response vaguely related to what I criticised MGS 3DS for. I haven't mentioned the frames per fucking second.

I know the port/remake is shit. I'm not arguing that?
Although yeah, a direct port would have been just fine instead of Kojima's shoddy remake with upgraded visuals.

I'm not talking about the quality of the port?

You said that MGS3D would put someone off MGS3. I argued that it wouldn't. The port is shit, I already know that.

Anyway is it confirmed that there's a retail version already available?
Sure they aren't pre-orders or place holders?

I mean the grading the game got in the e-shop may just be from a review copy or something...

Thank god I'll be able to get my ImagineTM Babyz fix in the meantime, or this could have been a complete disaster.

>Implying that Imagine Babyz is bad
^Complete idiot

Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm a plain old ImagineTM Babyz fiend; you should see me going through withdrawal. I get the shakes, the quakes, and the bellyaches.

I'm also entering this in as my official review for the game.

Any delay to fix serious issues with a game is good in my book. Shame they couldn't delay Rayman 3D a few more months either. I wonder if they'll just can it eventually.

I'd say try the demo on PC at least. Likely chance you have a PC that can play it. That should give you an idea whether you like it or not. I'll say that despite the graphical issues I had with the 3DS version, the basic gameplay and even the core visuals were still intact. If you hate the gameplay, I'm not sure playing it on another system will help to be honest. I still think the 3DS version was a good game underneath and played as well as the rest of them. At least the one thing that survived the port was gameplay, worse ports have been made that have wrecked the playability of games.

My biggest gripe is the slippery controls on the 3DS. I didn't feel like I had control over Rayman. I bought the game on Steam and play it with an Xbox controller, and that version is fantastic. 3DS version was crippled beyond any hope of getting a good score.
