I want to start by saying thanks to the devloepers for the hours of fun this program have brought me
I used the "old" RawkSD with songs from RB1 and it played perfectly. Today I tried importing songs from GHWT and GH5. It worked just fine, but the volume on most of the songs seems off. Playing with a bass and drum, we could barely hear either of them. Strangely enough, the volume in the drum fills seemed at the correct level (thus being louder than everything else in the song when they came), and so did the sound effects, like that "woosh" you get when you complete the sequence of white notes: they were louder than everything else.
Does this have anything to do with the "volume" settings when you edit customs? I didn't touch that, but was wondering if I could use that to fix this problem.
BTW, I am also getting the same problem as some other people here, with the notes being slightly off the lines in the fretboard.
Any help with this will be appreciated and THANKS again
The volume info is taken from GHWT, without modifying it. Try playing with the volume settings of the audio channels when editing the custom. Changing these settings requires you to use the Wii installer again. Maybe I'll just have to get someone to manually figure out good volume settings for each song.

Well I tried a few songs on vocals (didn't feel like taking out the guitar or drums) and I noticed the songs had their difficulty tiers either all the same or all over the place. Is La Bamba supposed to be a level 6 tier for the whole band? I can't believe that. :c
Since no one seems to want to manually tier each instrument for each song the tiering is done in the order that the songs appear in the career setlist; which is independent of each instrument. All over the place is just the way RB2 handles difficulties.
This doesn't count with GH5, which does have per-instrument tiers.
