Request: Automatic FoFiX importing. It would detect all the song.ogg, guitar.ogg, etc and put them in the right place, check song.ini for Title etc and do everything on its own.
It's not the same as having it integrated into RawkSD, but you could try my script.
Oh wow. You had my hopes up until the Linux part.

It's not quite as bad as it sounds. You can run it from a live session by booting from a CD, and you don't have to install anything to the HDD. At least give the documentation a quick look.

Ok noticed on the RawkSD GUI there is icons from importing Guitar Hero songs, what do i actually need to use this?, the iso of guitar hero??

Hmm,
I don't know what I did wrong, or that I'm maybe just stupid.

But, I installed the songs on the SD card with the PC app, then I ran the patcher on the wii, and then I ran the installer on the wii.

But I have no idea where my song has to be in the game now..
Halp?

0- extract songs with pc app
1- patcher on wii
2- installer on wii
3- import with pc app

4- Update save file in RawkSD.
5- Put sd card back into Wii and finish installer.

Seems like the project has ended ever since Rock Band DLC got cracked. Is that the reason why there isn't anymore frequent updates recently?

But no, the project hasn't ended.

I think this app needs it's own FAQ or troubleshooting guide... anyway, I'm having trouble with this app: the patcher won't work. As far as I know, this is supposed to patch over IOS37 and needs a working internet connection. What I don't know:

Do you need to have IOS37 installed into your Wii for the patcher to work? If so, what's the best way to install it?

Does this app work under any system menu above v3.2? If not, does it still work under 3.2 if it's been updated by the Rock Band 2 disc?

Any helpful answers would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

And here I thought the giant link that says INSTALLATION AND USAGE GUIDE on the first post was impossible to miss. There is an FAQ at the bottom of that.

I'm pretty sure the need for an internet connection was removed in an early update. Your Wii already has IOS37. System menu version doesn't matter.

Also - Not sure if this is relevant to you, but I ran into issues while having cIOSCORP 3.1 installed.

I already read that thing before posting, it was no help at all. It doesn't tell you what you can do if the patcher doesn't do its job. I guess what I meant is that it needs something more in-depth than that. I've also tried running cIOSCORP before, but that didn't work. Does anybody know what's going wrong or know of any alternatives?

I wanted to test RawkSd so I added one song and it worked fine after i used the patcher but, after that whenever i wanted to add a song on the installer it wouldnt show getting ready to install customs or whatever it is and skip straight to use the PC installer so i did but on the PC it said that my sd wasnt ready for backups!!!!

Well, if the patcher doesn't work then there is no hope at all for customs. I recommend not to use a newer version of cIOSCORP (or better yet don't use it at all) seeing as it seems to interfere with the IOS37 patcher. I had patching problems after updating to 4.1 and installing cIOSCORP, but I ended up downgrading to 3.2 using the October 23rd fix guide, then upgrading to 4.1 again using the guide floating around here.

I'm sure there is an easier way around this, but doing that worked for me.

Also - sorry for being a bit of an ass in my previous response

And to the 2 above posters, I had those problems as well and fixed it by doing what I explained in this post.

1) The patcher is supposed to work on 4.1 fine (plenty of people have tried it). If it doesn't for some obscure reason... Well if it complains with an error rather than a code dump crash, let me know what it says. If it is actually crashing, your alternatives are to install the old version of that cIOScorp 37 WAD, or use WiiPower's TBR. Either of them end up completing the same goal as the patcher.
2) cIOScorp 3 and 3.1's failure to work with RawkSD has nothing to do with the patching. cIOScorp should be an alternative to the patching process. Though I haven't tried it myself, it uses cIOS rev14 which I could easily see causing problems. At the very least, if you must use it, install the old cIOScorp 37 WAD after. It shouldn't affect anything.

And yeah, vacation. Expect some exciting updates after I get back.

Would there be a fix for the vocal animations in your future releases since every single RB1/TP imports have their vocal de-synced with animations.

It's not a fix considering that they're not broken in the first place; they're just nonexistent so we use a standard template. The main issue is that they would have to be made from scratch. Not to mention the fact that we don't have very much info on the lipsync format in the first place...

So unless we do some research into lipsync, you won't see it happen. And even if we do, we have three options, none of which are ideal:
1) Someone will have to go and "chart" the lipsync for all those songs.
2) We make a converter from the XBox versions of the lipsync. (and who knows if it's even similar)
3) We just do a generic mouth-open mouth-close thing based on the vocal note chart. It won't look that great, but it'll at least be in sync.

The bottom line is that it's a lot of work and we've barely started to look into how it would be done.

so you suggest just downgrading? i might do that because i've been waiting a long ass time to be able to do custom songs...i'll check up here later and tell you guys if i have any luck

oh and for the charts, i can't seem to get rawksd to install them. it always gives me the error that i haven't used rawksd installer, but i have, and i try installing with the error, it tells me the audio file is missing. uhg, so aggravating.

but then again it might be just that the patcher isn't installed heh. after i downgrade everything should work then.

what i'd really like to see, using this app, the underlying tech it utilizes, or via some other method, is a way to slipstream customs and/or dlc into the game iso, as a viable alternative to swapping sd cards and such.

is this a possibility, or are the boundaries put in place by the game and the wii itself to strict to overcome?
