After almost a week of waiting and checking the Rare countdown to their announcement, I decided to check their Twitter page today.

There you go then: Kinect Sports! Working frenziedly on new site to show it off. Be with you in a couple of hours (we hope, oh how we hope).

Is this some kind of a sick joke? The announcement that they have been counting down is a Kinect Sports game that we've known about for weeks? I was looking forward to a new Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Donkey Kong Country 4, or something else that would've been great. This pretty much just ruined my E3.

Not to be a hater or anything, but the old Rareware is long since dead. They just don't seem to "have it" anymore. I think it's due to most of their staff having left so that there's barely anyone from the original company still working there anymore. As it is, Rareware has stooped to teasing their fans in a malicious way. One thing they've been pulling fan's strings about for years is a Killer Instinct 3. They go so far as to send out Christmas cards to people teasing the game. They never make it though.

To me, Rareware pretty much died with the end of the N64 era. They still made a few good games for Gamecube and even the Xbox (and 360), but it was no where near their magic before.

RARE has pretty much gone to shit ever since Nintendo sold them to Micro$oft so this does not surprise me one bit!

Edit: YEAH! That whole teasing Killer Instict 3 every year pisses me off to no end too! Do it already you feaken cockbreaths!

Let's try to look past this terrible mistake by Rare, and look forward to Nintendo's conference. Rumor has it that the company who made the Metroid Prime series, Retro Studios, is working on a new Donkey Kong game. This could save E3 for me if true.
