I'm more curious what kind of security they had. As it seemed to be very easy for the hackers to get in.

Now multiply that sale by the millions, and you'll see the problem. Don't be so short-sighted my friend. They screwed over millions of people that way, not just one.

Yeah, it sounds like they had a network share sitting with an open port 80, lol.

They were screwed over due to higher ups. I'm not going to wish bad things on a bunch of people who had nothing to do it with it. The fuck is wrong with you?

They (CDPR, as a company) screwed over millions of people, and are now facing repercussions from the very people they screwed over. Sounds fair to me, what the fuck is wrong with YOU?

You're saying they're "facing repercussions" from releasing a bad video game. You're acting like they were sending CP within the files. You're defending the actions of a bad actor. I'm short sided, you're just fucking blind.

As a long-time gamer, we need to stand together as one, letting these video game companies know that we won't be fucked-over by piss-poor videogames being pushed out the doors. If it takes ransomware retaliation and data breaches to make it happen, then so-be-it. :toot:

Long story short, FUCK THEM FOR RELEASING A SHIT GAME. Vote with your wallet, and NEVER pre-order.

I'll stop being an asshole about this. Sorry. You're right. They should have waiting several years before even saying shit about this game. A lot of companies have done this issue. But, people were sending fucking threat threats about this game. I'm pretty sure that would persuade anyone to a release a game in a broken state.

Lmao CDPR just can't get a break. Maybe it's karma for abusing their workers.

Will they learn any lessons from this? Probably not.

Considering how capcom lost employee data and only cared about the financial losses, I'm assuming cd projekt will do the same

Resident "I knew Cyberpunk was stupid ass overhyped bullshit before it came out" here, just because they made a fucky ass game doesn't mean they 'deserved' to get hacked, that's a wacky ass line of thought man, c'mon.
No, what they really deserve is an overall worse customer reputation, with a side of maybe legal action for any promises broken. Getting hacked, though? Man, I dunno.
Now, if something comes out from any leaks that makes them look even sketchier? :grog:

Attacks like this mainly affect the devs, which makes this even worse as they were mistreated

Yes, absolutely. The developers aren't the ones who should be getting punished for corporate mismanagement. Doesn't help that some view these potential leaks as little more than "source code and upcoming secret plans" - I wouldn't be surprised if whatever potential CDPR leak also included personal information of staff there.

Looks like their servers needed some quality patches as well.

Anyway, let’s hope something interesting gets leaked.

That's cute, even thinking for a second that a major company like CDPR will ever give a slight fuck about their employees.

I look forward to the source code leaks! Hopefully Witch 1 and 2's source code gets leaked, and someone ports it to Switch.
