ROM Hack Randomization Not working

Hi, so i got Citra and I have been wanting to play some Randomized Pokemon games on it. Didn't know how to do it so i looked up some guides and downloaded the programs PackHack and PK3DS. What is supposed to happen is that I use PackHack to extract the .3DS file and then open those files with PK3DS and be able to change the things I want. So I tried using the PackHack setup.exe file and nothing happened for about 3-5 secs when it turned into a .tmp file and disappears from my PC entirely. I also tried using the actual program as well and the same thing happened. I was using V9 of the program so i tried to redownload V9 since all the guides recommended it and said it was the best and tried the other versions that were available to download and the same thing happened. I just want to be able to play randomized versions of 3DS pokemon games.

The .tmp file names before they disappear:
Setup=JYxJApJw_WR_.tmp
Hacktool=IHqOEosR_WR_.tmp

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs

    I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

    It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
