Gaming RAM HELP!

Im building a new gaming rig (amd) and i have my motherboard (asus m4a79xtd-evo) and im gonna buy the phenom ii x2 550be and 1gb of ram (im on a major budget) so my question is if i buy 1gb of ram. can i buy the same exact same ram module and will it perform in dual channel or do i have to buy a dual channel kit?

you pay over the odds for a "matched pair" of ram, just buy the same type and it should be fine.

In this day and age, 2g ram is standard and cheap.

1gig will seriously bottleneck you later, trust me. Pay the 50-70 dollars for 2-4gigs from Newegg.

im using 1gb right now and i know ill bottleneck but i only have 100$ and i can only swindle my parents so far. thanks for the answer btw
