Gaming Racing Games

As per title. I'm not usually into racing games. And I'm pretty rubbish. So I haven't a clue about what's about and what's good.
But I love the Mushroom Bridge circuit on Mario Kart DS. Are there any titles out for DS(DSi) that would be similar? Nothing too taxing I'm really bad.

Does Sonic spin round in circles though, he makes me dizzy? Thanks for the suggestion I'm going to have a google for it.

Basically I like the real road with real traffic thing I think. As opposed to a cutesyfied race track.

Its just a kart racer and a good one at that. I'd also recommend Sideswiped which is brilliant. Basically its batshit fun, look up a video of it on youtube.

Sideswipped looks very promising the other one not so much, thanks! Was sideswiped released in europe? I can't find reference to a euro release only US?

If you like real road kind of stuff.. Need for Speed titles for the DS?
also for a game like Mario Kart DS but with 3 different vehicles - kart, hovercraft and plane - check out diddy kong racing.

basically, Avoid all other racing games like the plague.
there are some really bad racing games on DS.

Especially Avoid Need For Speed series, with the exception of "Prostreet".
NFSrostreet is pretty good.

There was Diddy Kong Racing DS, but they pretty much ruined it with touch-screen gimmickry.
Having to get your starting boost by drawing circles on the touch screen is just....stupid.

This. If you're looking for another good kart racer on DS, it's probably the best alternative. Some of the tracks are "eh," but kart handling is really good. They did a good job with it. Lots of cool stuff to unlock, etc.
