i hav heard the www.r4li.com r4i's r from the original r4 team from gamezway, one of gbatemps recomended sites. is it true?

Yea they are alot of r4 clones out there and most of them have alot of issues. So I wouldnt recommend you getting one

i got r4i ultra coz they update their kernel and i liek the 3button interface

r4i-SDHC also upgrades their firmware
same goes to hyper r4i

i think R4's genuinely suck @$$ because they are so outdated they may have been the mother of all flash carts a while ago but thats because there were only like 3 well known flash carts now that the likes of the cyclo DS are spawning from the rubble that was once the R4 i see know reason to resurrect that rubble. (and if you can't afford a cyclo just get an EDGE

Well I received an r4i-SDHC and an AceKard 2i. I have an AceKard 2i with AKAIO me aged 11.
But i gave the r4i to my sis age 8.

That was when I ordered from dealextreme but it didn't arrive for a while so i canncled the order and went for 4coolday.com, that order arrived quickly but when i ordered from there I changed to r4i sdhc

Compared to all the other R4s it probably would be the one worth getting. That is if you are dead set on to get a R4. Apparently the M3 team was always part of the R4 team. Or so I've heard from Normmatt. Source of where I read this.

during those early days~!
m3 was making their own flash cart!
since the old r4 team released their flash cart before m3 team could ! m3 team decided they would not want to lose the market share
therefore, they bought the hardware and software from the old r4 team and released it as m3 simply
so they can continue making their flash cart while not losing anything

Actually R4 might have done the hardware design and software but M3 the actual hardware manufacturing and did some software for it. In the end i thought most of the r4 developers moved onto the m3 ds real (it being an upgraded r4 anyway).
