Hacking R4I problem

When i put my R4i in my DSi the DSi shuts down but sometimes it doesn`t but most of the time it does.Can someone please help me.The R4i doesn`t have a SDHC card in it and i want to buy one but i must assure my self that i don`t do a mistake. Thank you in advance.

try formatting the sd card

yeah. you made a big mistake spending $10 extra on a R4 clone (that to be honest is a fake anyway) when the AceKard 2i and the iTouchDS2 are cheaper and better.

I'd like to help you with your R4i, but you are just going to run into more problems even if you get it working, like ROM compatibility etc etc. My advice is to throw it away, and get a iTouch2 or a Acekard2i. The R4i is a clone

I purchased an r4i for a friend, at first it wouldn't work correctly. So I made sure to replace all the system files correctly and it has worked perfectly ever since without any problems.
