Hacking R4i Gold Deluxe dont work with fw 3.0

If it works with 2.0 should work with 3.0. You should ask for support from them as they just copy the GW work i doubt they even test to see if it fully works on their hardware.

i said you need at least 4.2

updating to 4.5 is easy, search the forum
use a game that require 4.5 fw and that comes with the fw update bundled

usualy ther reply in 24h (for simple questions)

I have a 4.4system and updated to 3.0 fw. Everything 6 working fine except for eshop of course.

remember to wait around 5 seconds before u boot the ds profile option to start emunand. Seems to help with the white stripe issue.

What i say is if you have a card that says it is compatible with firmware 4.1 to 4.5 and then after an update it stops working with 4.1 it's bullshit cause they never said it will.

That's exactly what I was wondering... I thought this wasn't possible with an R4i Gold Deluxe.
This means that OP needs to use an official retail cartridge to update.

You are thinking of Gateway, we don't know how good the clones will work as they never really tested how good the GW firmware works with their hardware and in what firmware versions.

It should work fine (i'm just saying cause you seem to think of the clones working the same as the GW), the only firmware with problems that i heard of is 4.1 but can't confirm cause i have a GW. Why don't you try it?? As long as you do a nand back up from the card menu and do a copy to your pc everything will be fine.

Yeah, it's a complete copy of the GW firmware so yeah you can.
