Hacking R4i from R4issdhc.com

Hi, I bought a R4i v. 1.4.2 from r4issdhc.com long time ago and I would know if I can upgrade it to work with the DSi FW 1.44. Could you please send me the files?

Please don't say 'buy a better card': I have a SCDS2 but I want to use my R4, too.

I think that they changed the "original card" from r4i-sdhc.com to r4ids.cn. Maybe a renamed updatefile from r4i-sdhc.com would work.

there are soo many simlar names but all different companies and people
so you have no hope of it working

you should be more careful when purchasing a cart in the future

It was my first card that worked (after a broken R4i-sdhc). I will never buy again a R4 like that. In 2011, they linked to the skins of r4i-sdhc.com and I think that they said that it is the original one.

I tried the update on a ds lite, it worked (the update progress) - and got a white screen. Now I only get a whitescreen (or better two whitescreens) and nothing more. Is there a way how I can fix it again?

You'll need another flash cart to start the update program, then swap it out for the bricked one and tell it to apply the update.

I have another flashcard (that's not the problem) but which *.nds does I need? The latest update.nds bricked it.

I don't know, I don't have one of those clones. Preferably the one for your exact model.

They only have one update: that what I used so that I can't use it. Seems like they doesn't support older cards. Yes, I know that it's a dirty rubbish clone or what ever and Wifi doesn't work but it's my first flashcard...
Maybe I find a update somewhere in the net...

The latest Kernel worked with my flashcard and it's based on YSMenu

Do you know why there is a firmware update.nds and a update.dat in the update RAR Archive?
