Hacking R4DS Problem

Sorry if this is in wrong section.Ive orderd the R4DS and the Ackard2.1.

Well my problem is with my R4 i just got it in today Ive followed the tutorial on how to install but when i put it in my DS Lite the health screen shows go past it then it just takes me to my original menu of the DS can anybody help me with my problem.

Could be a contact issue, does it say "There is no DS Card inserted" in the DS menu, or is it blank?

There is no DS Card inserted. I am using an MicroSD 1GB, Heres a Video of my problem hope it helps.My Problem

Either the R4 is dead, or it's a contact issue.

Have a read of the contact section from my Acekard guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=218103#contacts

It that doesn't work, unscrew the screw on the back, open the cart up and have a look if anything is loose. Try removing the PCB and then reseating it.

Other than that, no idea.

It turns out that i have to hold the R4 cartridge down then it will have contact then it starts up its fits in the slot perfectly but only works when i hold it down.

Open the cart up and try moving the PCB lower in the shell.

Someone else suggested using a hook to physically pull your DS's contacts higher, but it's not something I would suggest unless it's not working with retail games.

Thank you tk_saturn i done it now it gets contact Heres a pic of what it looked like before if you see the little plastic stem in the pic,? picture that only a little bigger blocking it from getting contact.Heres the one with he stem.

and heres the one after i cut the sem off and now it has contact.
