Hacking R4

i have a r4 with gold letter on it.. i tried using a 4g and a 8g sdhc and the ds just shows loading and never goes out from there anyone know what might be the issue.
can someone help.... thanks

Are you using the correct firmware for your particular R4?

Maybe your R4 does not accept SDHC?

If it doesn't mention "i" or SDHC, then you're limited to 2 gig and under cards*.

Even if it mentions "i", it doesn't mean it will support SDHC cards.

exactly, if it mentions "i" it just means the flashcart is compatible with Nintendo's DSi

I thought all i cards supported SDHC?
I mean, i is much, much newer than SDHC.

Not even that has to be true since it still could be a pre firmware 1.4 card. The the "i" just means that once upon a time it was able to run on a Nintendo DSi...
