Hacking r4 sdhc forever load

i got a r4 sdhc for Christmas and i got it to work but i went to put Rune Factory A Fantasy Harvest Moon on it and all the sudden it went back to the forever load screen

i have a red ds
a 4gb sandisk
a r4 sdhc

i tried reformatting it in fat32 and got the same kernel
