Hacking R4 problems with the new games

I got a REAL, R4.
I have the YSmenu thingy..
and I patched the USRCHEAT.dat file with the new one at the unoffical cheat sticky post.

BUT, GTA still dosent work (freeze after choosing an empty save spot)
and also the new final fantasy cristal, when I try to save I get the annoying, 'cant save, insert gameand power off' thingy...


if you have any idea how I can fix it I would be really happy.. thanks!

'cant save, insert gameand power off' thingy... means you have an ARM7 problem. Find out how to fix that HERE.

ysmenu + clean rom + latest cheat = no problems with gta

your setup doesn't need an arm7. did you actually go into the cheats for gta and enable the save bypass code?

There is a GTA ROM out there that is prepatched.
See if you can get your hands on that, I am using that now and its been working fine.
I would give you the link except that is against the terms and conditions of GBAtemp.

Its best to try to locate that, it is rather good for lazy people such as myself.
