The R4 is outdated and just plain awful. It's no longer supported by the original team and it's not worth the hassle.

Well, if you can choose something else. I'd recommend Acekard, that's something I want. And it's great.

Although I have an R4, I recommend M3 Real. R4, is just too outdated..It was practically like the best flashcart ever! But, the team no longer supported it, and it died down.
Even look at how long the Mario and Luigi fix for R4 came out. About 3 weeks after launch, while the majority of the flashcarts, had the patch within 2 weeks time.

none of them just by an EDGE acekard or CycloDS i have an R4 and i´m really dissapointed in it and M3 is gonna be bad soon i think, R4 and M3 are two cards, whom live on popularity not on quality

I have had a M3Real before, and its brilliant mate. Much better then the R4!

Has lots of features, only failed on 1 game out of 2500 i have and all homebrew worked perfectly

The M3 is being updated quicker than most flash carts recently, so I'd definately choose M3 if you don't want to have to download a load of patches when new games come out.

I am a proud R4 owner and all, But i know the trouble you have to go through every month or so to keep it up to date.
