Hacking R4 Kernel Help

Hey Guys... I go to the site printed on my R4i Sd-Hc Dual core. It's the one with the "2013" mark. I click on that, and somehow, the packaging looks slightly different then the one it came in, but the card looks Identical. and It goes to loading when I boot it up & white screens. so I scroll down & see one with the packaging Identical, but the card displayed has a "New" mark. I try it and it works. but somehow strangely another kernel that is for the dual core card works but the picture showed no mark, the menu works fine but games freeze. that lead to confusion. is there any way to get the 2013 card to work so I can use it on 3ds version 5? here are some picutres:

So, your card says "2013" on the label?

You should go off of what the actual card label says.

The 2013 and NEW label versions use their own specific FWs.
Have you tried the latest FW for each?
