r4ds two-point-oh is a total theme replacement for the R4DS flash cartridge
for the Nintendo DS. ÂIt was designed and tested using kernel 1.11 - and is
offered for use at your own risk. ÂFeaturing a flagrant abuse of drop
shadows, reflections, gradient fills and violator symbols this theme can be
viewed as both parody and homage to the aesthetic commonly referred to as
*Web 2.0*. ÂMeanwhile, a main goal was to remove or mask as much of what
some call unnecessary (and all deem ugly) kernel generated text. ÂSo, if
you enjoy being reminded what language you're reading or fancy pointless
file revision dates or repeating of selected filenames - this isn't the

r4ds two-point-oh skins the following R4DS UI elements:

- logo.bmp
- icons.bmp
- bckgrd_1.bmp
- bckgrd_2.bmp
- brightness and soft reset controls
- game icon panel(s)

**before installing it is recommended that you back up your original**
**_DS_MENU.DAT file and your _system_/themes directory       Â**

Replace your _DS_MENU.DAT with the custom one included in this archive (put
a copy of your original in a safe place for when you want to switch back). Â
Then disable the /_system_/themes folder by renaming it to something like
"themes_disabled". ÂRename the folder back to "themes" to go back to the
skin changer mode.

well the top is sort of plain... and why not a sunset or something better than a tree?

also, the media icon looks weird, and instead of having those bars near the bottom where the text goes, just make the text white and keep behind the text blending into whats around it incase someone has the prettier version of the firmware(with the time, version number ect. removed)

The bottom, however, looks amazing. Don't adjust it any.

Very nice Marth. I'm no fan of the Vista aesthetic but I admire your technique and the quality of your work. Looking forward to the final version. Oh, I think the icons are great - not only attractive but they visually represent their functions unlike the majority of "theme-ish" skins that simply recycle random anime symbols and such. It's obvious from all your skins that you understand how to create a UI, not just copy & paste wallpapers and such. Good on you.

You did good with the icons...but the top of the bottom screen is kinda crowded.

Otherwise, you did a very good job on it - one of the best I've seen

Pretty sweet job. The bottom screen of the file browser should be something similar to the background of the icons though, but thats just me.
