Hi everyone, I've been trying to get my 4gb MicroSD card to work on my R4. Unfortunately, when I boot up the R4 with said card in it, it just hangs at the "Loading..." screen. I didn't have this problem before with my 2gb MicroSD. I have the Moonshell pack in the SD card and a few applications.

Do I have to downgrade to 2gb again, or is there a way to make it work with 4gb?

Thanks.

I think everything is in the correct place? I reformatted the MicroSD card and then downloaded the kernals/applications again.

Here is a picture of the card directory.

EDIT: Yes, that is the model I have. Damn, looks like I'll have to find that 2gb card again. Or maybe order a newer flashcart. I've had this one for a long time anyway.

Thank you for your help.

now, it is clear.
the old original R4DS max support 2GB memory card, it is the problem.
the old R4DS teas stopped supporting for many years,
if you want to get a new card, Supercard DSTwo and R4i Gold 3DS recommend,
they are the top2 flashcarts

yeah, if your card is the r4ds original card, then you can only use 2g micro sd card because it doesn't support SDHC, it is only working with 2g. if you want to use a 4g or larger, all other cards would support.

Alright, I'll look through some options for a new flashcart then. I've had my eye on that Supercard DSTwo for a long time now, but I'm also looking at other cartridges.

Do either of those sites ship to Canada? I didn't get a chance to check it out last night.

Also, just to be clear, the Supercard DSTwo works on the original DS, right?

Obviously the R4i seller is trying to get the OP to buy from them;
I am here to say they present good info!
The R4iGold3DS is pretty good, I'm a satisfied customer here!
