is it possible to hack the official firmware so it reads .nds.sav?

rename "example.nds.sav" > "example.sav"
there shouldn't be a difference other than the file name if you're trying to run Wood R4 savs on OFW R4
can't test it myself atm though

rename "example.nds.sav" > "example.sav"
no need to hack

Yep, it´d be too much trouble for nothing..

However, why`d you switch kernel... ?

Wood R4 it´s far better than R4 official firmware. However... i´ve been noticing less battery life, every improvement has some cost, heh.

He is probably keeping it as an alternative firmware (always useful).

Also, according to Another World, firmware's don't do anything to battery life.

i just want it.

so there's no other way huh?

No, i think. Those ops are done internally by kernel, and unless you can decrypt kernel and reprogramm routines, you could do it.
