Hello everyone,

I wanted to translate a game to a different language. I followed a tutorial by Asia81 ([Tutorial] How to Decrypt, Extract & Rebuild 3DS Roms) and decrypted the rom and extracted decrypted rom. I didn't decompress code.bin. What do I need to do next to change the text? Asia81's tutorial shows repacking but does not show how to translate.

Thank you in advance. :)

There is no single program -- games can be programmed in any number of ways and you as the would be hacker/translator have to handle this.
The thread you linked covered the basics of unpacking a game and getting it back so you can run the modified version.

Here is a guide for the GBA and DS but the 3ds is much the same as the DS, give or take where I would link to gbatek in that then you would probably want to instead poke around https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Main_Page

An even more general guide

It is not impossible that there is a game out there which you could translate like you are translating a normal document but they are few and far between.

I would suggest learning on a less complicated file format than a 3ds game. There is a lot of files and 3ds isn't exactly something that has been fully taken control of. There is barely an emulator to use to test stuff if they game will even load.
