Hacking quick question yet again

hi all, right did my wii u a while ago, now its haxchi with iosu coldboot, now iv noticed with different mods you can play gc games ect, question is think im screwd as cant find nand back up, how would i go about playing gc games ect
as im not sure if i can play through haxchi. cheers for any help below is my sd card layout

That looks like a pretty old iosu coldboot hack you got there. I would tell you how to remove it and setup HaxChi and CBHC but I never used that coldboot hack and don't want to give you incorrect info that might cause a brick.

I'd first try and figure out a safe way to remove the hack and start over from scratch. Read through the noob guide so you're familiar with all the most recent hacks then when you get yours removed you'll know what to do

GC games are played through vWii (they also work through Wii VC for gamepad support but that's more work to set up), you don't need to change anything with your Wii U-side setup but you do need to hack vWii, or alternatively install a Wii VC inject with Nintendont in it.

yeah i had been doing a look around and it does seem to be very old, i was thinking this may be the way to get rid but unsure as i dont want to brick https://wiiu.guide/uninstall-cfw

are you using coldboot haxchi or iosu hax? if the latter, you can remove it by not linking the config.txt to the fw.img. you're done. have it says default=sysmenu instead of default=location of fw.img . btw, if you're using cfw booter to boot into iosu hax. you don't really need to do anything. you do have haxchi, right?

yes have haxchi that takes about1 -2 mins to boot up, like i say it was one of the first releases

Here's what we need to know

1. What happens when you first turn on your Wii u?

2. Do you see anything on your gamepad when you boot?

3. If your Wii U boots normally what do you do to launch homebrew launcher?

when i boot, the tv shows the wii loading screen, the pad shows haxhi, then goes black and shows haxchi again before loading into the main menu where i can pick any game to play ect. just taken a quick video, uploading to you tube now and will post. infact it comes up saying iosu hax sorry,

change default to default=sysmenu and reinstall. you're not using cbhc, are you? you'll know if you are if it says "autobooting" when turning on the console if you are, then that config.txt is meaningless and you don't need to do anything.

no it doesnt say anything about auto booting, ill try the reinstall and see what happens, will that remove the coldboot

ok so i did the re install, now it boots me straight to the homebrew menu and wont load the wii u home screen. just loops back to homebrew, tried exiting, takes me to mii thingy close that then it goes straigh back to hb menu, tried loading custom firmware throught the hb chanel, says loading iosu hax then straight back to hb channel

you need the config.txt in the haxchi folder or else it will load the homebrew launcher by default.

yep this is the folder its in, i cant figure this out or find anything on the internet
