Hacking Quick question about installing WADs.

If I want to switch over to DIOS MIOS for some reason, should I uninstall the current mios I am using and then install the DIOS MIOS wad or can I just install the DIOS MIOS wad without uninstalling the current mios? How does the overwriting exactly work?

Whenever you're unsure, overwriting is always the safest bet. It generally overwrites the old wad completely.

IOS's, cIOS's, MIOS, and BC wads should always be overwritten.

The only time uninstalling is safe is when you're dealing with VC wads or Channel Forwarder wads. And even then you need to use the wad you originally installed with, to successfully perform the uninstall.
