Hacking Quick question about flashcarts

I have an r4i sdhc v2.10t and a fully updated 3DS.
If I put it in my 3DS:

1) Will it work?
2) Does it come with a danger of bricking/getting a ban from the eshop or any dangers at all?

2)No, uncompatible carts will just not run, no bans or anything like that.
