Hacking Quick question about downgrading

I haven't downloaded it but assuming it's a folder with a *file*.3dsx in it yes that folder goes in the 3ds folder. I don't understand your second question, what folders and files.

Since I already downgraded. Can I format the SD card, re-do the menuhax stuff and go from there? After I install the menuhax can I install a cfw?

Yes, you can format SD and install cfw. If you're going the menuhax route rxtools is the recommended cfw. Just reinstall menuhax with an exploit game or browserhax and set up rxtools.

I got to the 2DS with the SD card on and go to sytem settings and format the system. From there I use browserhax to set up get menuhax and then rxtools. Correct? What about the sysNAND and emuNAND unlinking and stuff?

Yes do that, also format the sd on your computer to be through before setting up your system again. To unlink emunand/sysnand you go to system settings in either one, go to format system, and take out the sd right before hitting confirm format. Then put it back in after formatting and they'll be unlinked.

If I format on my PC, once I put it in my 2DS will it create all the necessary files?

You should backup all the hax files on your computer and put them back on, your 3ds will only create the "Nintendo 3ds" folder

I guess, personally I have about a billion hax files on my sd so I can't redownload them all from one place
