
But, the GBA part (ARM7) is used in NDS games, so it has to be there. It's possible they don't include support for changing the clock speed, but, that takes a couple transistors and ~100 bytes bigger firmware filesize. It would've actually been cheaper to include it than to redo the engineering to take it out.i guess cuz not all nds hardware (the gba part) get into the 3ds...
some features must be dropped and compatibility is lost to make new things..
