Thanks a lot to you all that are answering these questions, I can hack up an android phone no issues but I love gaming so I want to try my hands at this. I'm debating on getting a new 3ds from play Asia, apparently region won't matter.

Play asia rip your money hell too much. Get at other places if you don't mind JP region too(nippon-yassan,superufo). If you insist on Europe n3ds then I guess that's the only one..

Darn it. We don't know if emunand will be included yet. Just because it wasn't in the beta, doesn't mean it won't be in the final revision.

Retail carts should work automatically (I'M NOT SURE THOUGH), .3dz you have to convert the roms to which I don't know how to do, search but use google with your search term followed by site:gbatemp.net because the gbatemp search engine sucks.

you don't convert roms from 3ds to 3dz. it is nice you want to help, but honestly don't give advice if you don't really understand what you are talking about.
i'm not trying to be mean, it is just better to not give bad advice

Playing game will still use English(assuming you are using a US/EU ROM). Only menu items will be Jap. If you are not convenient with that then the option left will be EUR ones.. Much more expensive, but doesn't matter if you are rich =P

Can you use USA credit cards for EU e shop? In just making sure I can use this thing to it's full capability.

I bet you can.
I have used Argentinian Credit Cards in the German version of the eShop without problems.
I suppose you should check yourself, but the German eShop does not check for credit card address.
The same way, with the USA 3DS if you set it to USA eShop it will require an american card, but if you set it to Canadian, it works with any credit card.

In the European 3DS you cannot set it to Canada. (I did that in my old USA 3DS to buy games with an Argentinian credit card).
In the European 3DS you could choose Australia, England or... many other countries.
I know selecting Germany works (but your Eshop will be in German, not the games you buy only the Eshop).
I would try to research if foreign credit cards also works selecting Austalia or England and go for that. For what I know, they seem to work if you select Australia, but take it with a grain of salt.

I would recommend holding off buying a N3DS until GW releases their update, which should be soon. Once you know exactly what features are in the update you can decide if it's worth it. The single best feature of GW is Emunand, and if the update doesn't have Emunand, I would just spend my money on a 4.5 3DS.

How do you know this? No one has said aynthing about Emunan not being implemented.

Video didn't show it, BETA tester said it wasn't there, they aren't replying to emails asking if Emunand is a feature and they said the delay has been due to server issues, not expanding and improving the software.


Of course its speculation but the speculation that there is emunand is far lower probability

I owen a N3DS and hope it has emunand ftr.
