I personally think my guide is more noob-friendly than Plailect's, but everyone would recommend Plailect's for you.
That's a seriously bold claim you go going on there and I am just going to disagree.
Plailect's guide is one the most tested and used guides in the hacking community. It's even the guide I turn to when installing A9LH and I have years of experience behind me when dealing with console modifications.

To the OP, there's always a risk of bricking. That is the nature of hacking and a risk that lingers over everything you do. But following the Guide will greatly reduce those risks. The guide actually provides all the files and information you need to help and covers pretty much everything you need to know to get A9LH running and get yourself a CFW as well.

@Hyoretsu Your guide is very much appreciated, but I think I speak for many of us when I say it seems like your head has become as big as your guide should have been. Thank you for the addition but you're clearly ego tripping if you think your guide rivals Plailect's in any form. P.S Anytime anyone mentions a brick, you don't have to assume it had to do with you. Every other thread where someone has a problem you pop in with "Well it wasn't because of me!". Yeah, we know. Lol

That's a bit rude, @Hyoretsu's guide is still useful.

I never said it wasn't. It's also pretty pretentious of him to assume everything is about him and his guide. I wouldn't feel this way if he wasn't in every thread with "Follow my guide, follow my guide, follow my guide". People will find it if they need to, but he seems to feel slighted when someone suggests Plailect's over his. That's just arrogant IMO. Sorry.

After a quick glance at his guide.
Recently, some people who doesn't do a nand back up get stuck on black screen, then come here to ask for help.
Are those guys using Hyoretsu's guide? Since I didn't see 9.2 CTRtransfer there.

I think he had a 9.2CTRNAND in his guide. Maybe in the troubleshooting steps. I know he was telling people after the fact in the comments. Would have helped if he mentioned what NOT to do on 2.1 with a N3DS though other than putting it in sleep mode. He doesn't warn about updating from 2.1 ANYWHERE which is where most people freaked out and "bricked" themselves, or didn't have a backup and needed the 9.2CTRNAND. So yeah, I would blame him too for a few bricks.

EDIT: Yeah, there is no 9.2CTRNAND link either.

I check it again, go to his 1st post in his guide, expand all spoiler tag and CTRL + F with "ctr".
I can't find anything mention about 9.2CTRNAND transfer at all. But, I don't search a comment.
Since the guide in forum's style should contain all info in 1 - 2 first post, like @Crystal the Glaceon FAQ.

NO he doesn't have one in the guide. My main concern now is his lack of warning about updating a N3DS from 2.1 with system settings. Nowhere in his guide does he mention it will cause a brick and more than a few people freaked out on a black screen and did just that.

*note: not defending or even in affiliation with @Hyoretsu or his guide, nor am I contesting what you said*

To be fair, he did say the magic words:
I think

So its only his own opinion that he feels his guide is better, whether it be true or not. I'm sure some people found his guide better then pialects somewhere. He as well as others are entitled to their own opinions anyway

If I may chime in here because of the guide discussion...
I'm a newbie and haven't used any of the guides yet because I'm still waiting for my 3DS to arrive (bought one specifically because I found out about A9LH + CFW about 2 weeks ago). But I'm doing lots of homework and trying to understand how everything works before starting since I don't want to mess up my new console.
I've read both guides already and I must say I prefer Plailect's by far. First, the layout is obviously more clear and structured and I like how he highlights important things in different colors. It's also more detailed and explains every step better so even I get a basic idea of what I'm doing and why.
But what I especially like is that he lets you get everything you need straight from the developers. I always prefer links to github so I can be sure about what I'm downloading and getting the latest version instead of just downloading some zip package with a bunch of files without knowing when each one was updated. It's not that I wouldn't trust Hyoretsu, but I feel more comfortable with Plailect's method. And of course I prefer it for the fact that it gets constantly updated all the time!

Just the two cents from a noob who never owned a (3)DS in his life, until in few days hopefully. :D

Hardly someone like you, doing a research, understand it before trying to hax. Nice Man.

I would have to agree with @Quantumcat. I don't understand why we need identical guides in different places anyway when there is no guarantee the OP's keep them relevant.
When I created mine, Plailect still didn't used Safehax. It wasn't even supposed to be a guide, just a ZIP with the files I used and exactly what I did to help some people because they were getting black screen with Safehax (cartridge workaround was unknown back then)

If you have any error during the process, read this post entirely (the answer might be there). If the answer's not here, just ask.

Maybe so, but we're talking about now. You continue to claim that your guide is preferable well after safehax was added to Plailect's, just because you made your guide/non-guide before then doesn't actually address any of the points that are being made.

I claim I personally think mine's more preferable if you just want a9lh. Some user don't want to know the BTS of what they're doing. It addressed the user's questioning of "identical" guides in different places.

I believe "identical" was used in the sense of "follows the same path to reach the same goal".

I, and many others, would argue that knowing and learning the behind the scenes is incredibly important at minimising user error not only during the A9LH installation process itself, but also at giving users the skills necessary to either avoid or troubleshoot any issues they may have in the future. Teaching this is something that I believe Plailect's guide excels at, and also why it has become so successful and widely recommended.

In No 9.2 CTRtransfer, that not a problem. But updating a N3DS from 2.1 with system settings is a problem. People could brick by it.

Being honest, i havent seen one thing that your guide has that Plailect's doesn't. And shorter != better, as if something happens later or someone misses something they wont know how to fix it, whereas with 3ds.guide everything you're doing is explained and reproducable, so you can fix your own device. Plus, not having the 9.2CTRTransfer is a really bad thing.

It's not going to do much good asking you after the fact if people bricked because you failed to warn them not to update from 2.1 in a N3DS. All you can really say is sorry. I don't see why you didn't at least include the basic disclaimers in your guide if you're going to suggest it?

No. Just no.
