I am wondering why there is no working sm64 port for Wii given the fact there is a working mac os x leopard power pc port for the imac g3/g4 power pc. I have both a emac and imac g3 and my understanding is that the cpu on the Wii/GameCube is almost identical. Furthermore, the gpu on imac g3 and wii/gamecube are very similar as both use ATI gpu's. I am not sure if they both use the ati rage architecture. Also, given the fact that we might have ocarina of time decompiled by the end of 2021 and oot uses a modified version of the sm64 engine, it might be a good idea to port sm64 to the wii then using that knowledge to port oot. The creator of the current sm64 wii port has given up porting it. I would finish it but I am still in college for computer science and my knowledge is limited on how to program. I was wondering if we could take part of the sm64 mac os power pc code and modify it so that the gamecube/wii can understand it. Then combine that with the broken wii port code to get it working. Its just an idea I do not know if it will work.
