I want to buy an external storage device for Wii U and my dad wants to buy this one of Transcend (1TB model):
https://www.transcend-info.com/Products/No-284

I have a few questions:
1. Will it work with the Wii U format?
2. Will it work with USB Loader GX+Nintendon't? (Just in case, maybe we'll buy 2 of them)
3. Does it require y cable or power supply?
4. If it does require, does it come with the cables in the package or you need to get it separately?

Thx from ahead! Really appreciated!

Usually portable hard drive won't work properly unless you connect it using y-cable. But do try. The problem that happens when using a single usb cable on a portable hard drive is when installing games, WUP Installer will give you an error in the middle of installing because the hard drive will stop working since the wii u cannot give sufficient power to run continuously.

Edit:
1. Will it work with the Wii U format?
Yes it will

2. Will it work with USB Loader GX+Nintendon't? (Just in case, maybe we'll buy 2 of them)
for vWii, I recently checked and this drive works

3. Does it require y cable or power supply?
Try one with the cable provided, but usually, portable ones needed y-cable

4. If it does require, does it come with the cables in the package or you need to get it separately?
No, you have to buy a separate y-cable
