Now that Club Nintendo is coming to America, I was wonder how the point system works for game registration in other regions to get an idea how it may work here.
Are certain games worth more points then others?
Are you able to register multiple copies of the same game?
Who here is Platinum or Gold Members and about how many games did you register to become that?
Do you get points for registering consoles?
Can you register foreign games on different Club regions like a US games in Club Nintendo of Japan?

Sorry for all the question,
FTen

Sorry if all my answers aren't accurate, they're mostly what I remember from several other threads I've read.
No. They are all 50 points(IIRC) per game.
No.
For Platinum/Gold, you just need to be registered for a couple years and have over 50 games registered IIRC.
250 or 500.
No.

Nintendo Europe Stars Catalogue Registration Page said:
Welcome bonus for initial registration = 250 Stars
Registration hardware: Wii console = 1000 Stars, Nintendo DS = 500 Stars
Registration software (based on RRP, not what you paid):
Price < £ 19 (€ 29) = 100 Stars
Price £ 19-33 (€ 29-49) = 200 Stars
Price > £ 33 (€ 49) = 250 Stars
That's what is says at the bottom of the page in Europe, though that doesn't nessasarily mean the US site will work the same way. It also doesn't say if GBA hardware / software can still be registered.

Did some of you understood why some games have the points and some don't? I tried put a logic there but couldn't. The editor could be Nintendo and the game not have the points.

Well I saw some off answers so I'll do it on my own too for fun.
1) Wii-50, DS-30, WW/VC games-10
2) Yes, but you get points only for the first
3) 300 and 600 respectively, they reset on June 30th of each year
4) Yes
5) No

Does anyone know how the Wii VC channel coins will work?

How do you even add them?

o.O

EDIT: Great...now my Wii Shop Channel keeps giving me an error when I try and link my account. Wtf.

Hopefully it's just a new server and will be fixed soon.

That's probably a different list for each area, in mine there's for example "Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer" that have points.

A bit off topic, but does anyone know how to retrieve a forgotten username? Their system is really starting to piss me off.

Update:

For those who had issues linking their Club Nintendo account to their Wii Shop Channel,

It's up and running now. You shouldn't get an error.

Mine still isn't showing up 6 of the games I bought, sadly 3 I don't own anymore. :\ One of the 3 not showing is on my reg but not coinage. 2 others are DS games. I just got called by NOA and we out of curiousity tried to re-reg those games and it worked, shouldn't have, but I got those down now too.

They're going to look into AC City Folk and the others that vanished (2 Wii 1 DS) and call me back later again. I like they're being so forward and on about it.
