[Question] How does someone compile applets? :v

    Hello again GBAtemps!~

    Coding for Homebrew


    Im a noob at coding :v but just about manage to use CFWs and install .cias and stuff, although when it comes down to the coding part, im no use.

    Where would anyone recommended to learn the basics? If not allowed, pls delete mods!~

    You're gonna want a basic understanding of C++ first and foremost. LUA is also a plus. If you're wanting to create games, study the Love Potion API, and develop around it.

    What you want is coding homebrew, because applets on the 3DS are the apps at the top of the Home Menu you can launch even when a game is launched (so the Web Browser, Miiverse, etc.).

    I can give you a link to a very basic tutorial that was written long ago but is still relevant. It doesn't cover much, but it could help you getting a grasp of how you can code an homebrew.
    It is unfinished and abandoned though...
