ALL OF YALL ON GBATEMP LOOK HERE

FRIENDS CAN'T STAY MAD AT EACH OTHER.

WE FUCKING FIGURED IT OUT.

ALSO CLOSE REQUEST.

Creeper, as long as you're willing to not do anything else with the 3DS until the hack is complete, you could theoretically stretch the installation over the course of a school week. It's just not well-advised.

Lucar, you could make this a teaching experience by delegating some of the mundane parts as homework, while supervising the more critical steps at school. Since you know Creeper, you can write out the necessary steps in a manner than would be best understood by Creeper.

Here's how I would break up the steps into both what is done at school vs what is done at home:
Day 1: Lucar: Downgrade to 9.2 & Install MenuHax/Creeper: Set up RedNAND+Luma3DS, Update RedNAND, Make SysNAND/RedNAND dumpsCakes
Day 2: Lucar: FBI Injection & Lesson about CIA installation/Creeper: Pre-2.1-downgrade RedNAND formatting and dumping
Day 3: Lucar: Downgrade RedNAND to 2.1 & OTP Helper One-Touch-Setup/Creeper: Leave 3DS completely alone & do research about your three CFW options (Luma3DS/CakesFW/SaltFW).
Day 4: Lucar: Extract OTP & Install A9LH/Creeper: Install CFW of choice

Huh. I like this.

OK, first thing: I CAN install a CFW within a few minutes. He asked for A9LH too, which is the hard part. That will take a day or two at least, with me only having an hour or two each day.
Two: He WAS on 10.3, downgraded, then updated again because *apparently* browserhax isn't a thing to him.
Three: That guide installs Cakes, not L3DS. You asked for L3DS. I will deliver with L3DS.
Four: I'M TRYING TO KEEP MY TIES INTO REAL LIFE AWAY FROM THE INTERNET AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DAMNIT.
So he created a thread to get help with time management? He never mentioned A9LH.

This is corresponding to your statements.
1. He shouldn't be creating a thread asking us how to make spare time for him to install CFW.
2. He never mentioned A9LH.
3. I never linked a guide to anything. I just said there are plenty of noob-friendly tutorials on youtube, let alone the whole internet.
4. Umm.. Nice. :o

Honestly, the main reason that I even posted was because I saw this situation as a logistics puzzle more than anything else. I just can't resist a good puzzle. :P

I figured that by having Creeper take on some of the mundane tasks, he will get a better understanding of what is going on under the hood. This knowledge will be handy for future maintenance and updating of the 3DS. It's your basic "Give a man a fish/Teach him how to fish" scenario.

what why will a9lh take at least a few days to set up? It took me less than two hours from start to finish so dont know why you think a few days are needed

Because I like to be careful, as to not make any mistakes. Also I'm suprised you did OTP in 2 hours, it took me 3-4, plus another half hour for A9LH. I dunno, maybe I'm just slow.

Good Idea.

Because i have a expert friend who trying to find a way too. probaly no tutorial on intervening stops between cfw installing

If he's an expert he can do it in less than 30 minutes. The first cfw I did on my own I first read the tutorial a few times and then I just started. Before I knew it I had the cfw on it. Though, I personally had to trouble shoot, because I have one of those: "hah we fuck you up if you unlink nands before launching emunand" kind of 2ds's. Still, in total I probably didn't even spend an hour and a half. Once I understood the basics of the 3ds/2ds, since I was a noobie at that to.
