Hacking (Question) Can i play games without updates?

So the game in question i am trying to play is BOTW ver. 1.3.0 but i cant enter the game to check what version of the update installed without updating to 1.3.1 because i wanted to try the TOTS glitch, link to video, is there any way to access the game without update pop up coming up (or disconnecting wifi network if possible)

Yes, you can play most games (not online, of course) without updating them (BOTW is an exception in that you need a game update for it to be playable, but not necessarily the newest one)

After 20 seconds or so on the update prompt it should give you the option of skipping the download (assuming you're using custom DNS to block the CDN)
Or you could run the game from an alternate launcher (like systemconfigtool) if it really pisses you off
Or hack the update of your choice to have a very high version number, so that it won't be replaced

Edit:SCT seems to be not installing properly i might have to go int rednand and transfer that version of it to usb then to synand to try it

when i try and launch botw through title launcher in SCT it says:

Cannot Launch This Title

@Ryccardo how would i change the version info of the update? I have access to the files of BOTW

The version number is in meta/meta.xml of the update title, iirc, haven't looked at one in quite a while

what tag would it be under <title_version>? but its only a 2 digit number or is it hexadecimal?
Edit: nvm its a 1 digit number

Changing the title version number to 9 or F doesn't change anything and still asks for the update
Also SCT doesn't want to launch the title for some reason

I believe i have tried all the options you presented to me and nothing is working anything else
