Hacking Question about use

I've not used a DSTWO in years.

Once you are inside the DSTWO menu(IE Browsing through games) on the DS, how do you return to the home-screen/exit DSTWO?

not sure what you really mean, but heres several answers

if you mean go back to the console menu:
if you are using an original DS you don't.. same with official games, if you want to enter the DS menu you must turn off the console
in a 3ds you can press home to exit and go back to the 3ds menu. not sure about the DSI

if you mean you are playing a game and want to go back to the DSTWO menu:
it's a configurable button combo, i think the default is L+R+UP*X or something like that, you can set it up in the menu (bottom left corner in the default skin IIRC)

if you are navigating the folders in the DSTWO menu and want to go back to the DSTWO initial screen where you selec the plugins, B (if you are inside folders press it several times)

Ok, for DSI I noticed that just pressing power will bring you back to the console/home screen instead of shutting off the console entirely. I wonder if that's how it is for games too? I'll have to try. Thanks for the info about the configurable input.

if you are playing a game and want to get back to the DSTWO card menu to choose another game in the DSTWO, yeah its a button combo you must\can configure in the DSTWO settings, it brings a in game menu with option to go back into the DSTWO menu named "reset"

if you want to go back to the DSI menu (to use the picture app for example), its the same process as you would in an official cartridge\game, you have to shut the game down, not sure if the console has a home button, but as you figured out, hit power once does it
