Hello everyone, I'm about to install Haxchi and "hack" my Wii U for the first time and I have some questions. The default Haxchi config.txt is:

a=fw.img

b=sysmenu

default=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf

What is fw.img and do I need it?
Do I have to launch "b" everytime after booting the console before launching the "default"?
Which Haxchi files can be deleted from my SD card after it is installed?
Does it matter which browser exploit I use to install Haxchi? Which one is the best?

Early CFWs were precompiled kernels (usually named fw.img and put in the root of the SD), Haxchi and CBHC support running one but you most likely will never need it anymore, feel free to remove that option

No, you can run homebrew without starting CFW (just like you usually do when using the browser exploit); of course, that may or may not be a limitation (no installing unsigned titles, for example)

All of them, both the haxchi folder in the root and in /wiiu/apps are just for the installer

No; the most appropriate one for your system version

Thank you for the explanation!

Does that mean I can always run Haxchi with the homebrew launcher set as default? When would I have to run "sysmenu"?

Sysmenu means the CFW built into Haxchi itself: in fact I would recommend setting that as default (and the HBL as a button), since with CFW you can use the cleaner-running channel version of the HBL anyway!

Set default to sysmenu and then reinstall haxchi. No need to hold down any buttons.
