Hardware Question about PS3 memory

I've noticed that according to my ps3 I have 38 GB out of 74 of free space left and I worked that roughly 25.5 GB is being used for my games.
This means that another 10GB is being used somewhere else which I thought was odd as I don't have any movies or music installed onto my ps3, so what exactly is the 10GB being used for?

How did you end up with the 25.5 Gb? Well anyways the space may be used for necessary updates and the likes. Imagine having to make a 2Gb update and you didn't have space. If it's reserved space, the space there is used for things like that

I just added up the total space of the game data and downloaded games.

Some is being used by system space as said above and possibly the drive isn't fragmented very well not that you can fix that probably. The reserve space did jump recently but don't worry about it till you run out since you cannot install more and some games run poorly or not at all with no space on the HD.
