Question about modchip and cooling

Since modchips takes up a tiny bit of room in the consoles and I don't usually see modders reinstall the heat pipe, can it still fit with the chip inside? Because I am worried about overheating

which modders are not putting back heat pipe?? if you are talking about youtube then i think they just skipped reassembly part on their video. you just have to cut back shield a bit then your modchip will fit in fine

No one leaves any parts out permanently, just the initial install and test is done sans heat pipe and shield.
